Responsible for the efficient and accurate handling, storage, and distribution of materials within a warehouse or production environment. Perform various tasks related to inventory control, order fulfillment, and maintaining a well-organized workspace.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Material Handling:<\/strong>
\n– Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
\n– Move materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
\n– Prepare and package materials for shipment.<\/p>\n

Inventory Control:<\/strong>
\n– Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counting and reconciling discrepancies.
\n– Ensure proper labeling and identification of materials.<\/p>\n

Order Fulfillment:<\/strong>
\n– Pick and pack materials based on customer orders or production requirements.
\n– Prepare and stage materials for outbound shipments.<\/p>\n

Quality Control:<\/strong>
\n– Inspect materials for damage or defects.
\n– Report any quality issues to supervisors.<\/p>\n

Organization:<\/strong>
\n– Keep the warehouse or storage area clean and organized.
\n– Arrange and rearrange materials to optimize storage space.<\/p>\n

Communication:<\/strong>
\n– Collaborate with other departments to fulfill material requirements.
\n– Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding inventory status and issues.<\/p>\n

Equipment Operation:<\/strong>
\n– Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
\n– Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions.<\/p>\n

Safety:<\/strong>
\n– Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
\n– Use personal protective equipment as required.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– High school diploma or equivalent.
\n– Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar role.
\n– Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification may be required).
\n– Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
\n– Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
\n– Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.<\/p>\n
